Founded in 1999, Janela Digital, which develops the real estate management application, Imoguia, (Imo = Property, guia = guide), and the hugely popular property website Casa Sapo, in Portugal, have decided to introduce their real estate solution internationally.
In 2004, JD realized that with over 70% of the market in Portugal and almost acquiring absolute leadership the company decided to direct its attention to the Spanish market, opening an Office in Barcelona and launched the Spanish version of the Imoguia Software, Inmofocus.
With Imoguia and Casa Sapo working side by side the figures currently stand at over 440 thousand monthly visits, 297 thousand properties for sale and more than 20 thousand visit/information requests per month sent to the real estates agencies which advertise their properties on the website through Imoguia.
In order to increase advertising potential for its clients, Janela Digital established partnerships with the main property websites of the well known Financial Institutions such as BES, Montepio Geral, BPI and Millennium BCP. Also, a strategic agreement was formed with PrimeLocation, which is one of the UK´s largest real estate websites, giving Imoguia and Inmofocus clients the ability to introduce their properties to the Uk marketplace.
According to the Borrell Associates, it is estimated that, in 2009, the Internet will start absorbing around 34% of the real estate advertisement investment, exceeding the traditional offline means of advertisement such as the press, outdoor advertisements and direct marketing solutions.
Now more than ever, Janela Digital’s strategic priorities are clearly defined: to go beyond the Iberian market barrier and expand in a logical direction: EU – including the new eastern EU countries – and Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries on the South American Continent.
JD will rebrand the Imoguia image in order to evolve into the international market thus signifying a new era of global expansion. ‘Imoguia’ will refer to its international brand name as ‘Interevo’, (International Evolution).
